7-Years Girl from Madurai Becomes Youngest Taekwondo Instructor

Samyuktha Narayanan, a 7-year-old girl from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, has made history by becoming the world’s youngest Taekwondo instructor. Achieving this remarkable feat on August 14, 2024, Samyuktha’s dedication and passion for the martial art have earned her a place in the Guinness World Records. Her journey began at a very young age, as she started learning Taekwondo when she was just three years old, under the guidance of her father, Narayanan.

Samyuktha’s parents, Shruthy and Narayanan, run the Madurai Taekwondo Academy, where Samyuktha has been trained rigorously. Her family’s involvement in martial arts is impressive, as both of her parents hold multiple records in the field. Shruthy, her mother, previously set a world record for the most full-contact elbow strikes in one minute using alternate elbows, with a total of 211 strikes. Her father, Narayanan, also boasts an impressive list of achievements, including the record for breaking the most flaming concrete blocks in 30 seconds (29) and the most marble slabs broken with a single kick (seven). Additionally, in 2020, Shruthy and Narayanan together set a joint record for the most martial arts kicks by a pair in one minute, with an astonishing 154 kicks.
