In a bid to draw prospective customers who want to drive a new car but may not be too keen on making the enormous financial investment it entails, Maruti Suzuki recently announced the launch of its vehicle subscription service.

After all, the second largest investment that one makes after buying a house is buying a car. Vehicle subscription plans could be the new standard in current times of uncertainty, and although popular in many western countries, they are just catching up here in India now.

Maruti Suzuki and its car subscription plan are likely to draw a lot of attention as the largest car manufacturer, even though rivals such as Volkswagen, Hyundai, and MG Motor have had a head start.

Before walking over-or clicking online-to rent a new Maruti, here are five main points to consider:

Point 1-

Where: For now, the vehicle subscription service in Delhi / NCR and Bengaluru has been introduced by Maruti Suzuki. The business estimates that it plans to expand it in the next two years to about 60 more cities.

Point 2-

What: The subscription service helps a brand new Maruti to get behind the wheels of one. Vitara Brezza, Swift, Dzire, and Ertiga from the Maruti Suzuki Arena network, and Ciaz, Baleno, and XL6 from Nexa are the vehicles included in the subscription plans.

Point 3-

How long: Customers can select between 12 months and 48 months for the subscription duration.

Point 4-

How much: The monthly fee for the Swift LXi in Delhi starts at 14,463 (all taxes included) for 48 months. Expenses such as repairs, zero-dep protection, and 24×7 roadside assistance are also included.

Point 5-

Why: Maruti emphasises the functional advantages of choosing to subscribe to one of the vehicles in its garages, the cars mentioned above. The recurring subscription fees are all-inclusive, and the vehicle can also be serviced at various times, as with cars that are privately owned.

Also, at the end of the subscription period, a consumer can return the vehicle, extend the subscription, upgrade to a better car or even purchase the current vehicle being driven at the market price.
