The Dabangg filmmaker Abhinav Singh Kashyap revealed
that he was bullied out of making a career by the Khan family who could not
stand his achievements.
After the nepotism debate on
social media has restarted due to Sushant
Singh Rajput’s demise
due to suicide, many current and ex artists from Bollywood have come out to speak up against the lobbies
and camps of the Hindi film industry and how they can sabotage and destroy a
career just for the sake of it.
Recently, Abhinav Singh Kashyap, director of the blockbuster film Dabangg, took to Facebook, to reveal that Arbaaz Khan & his family sabotaged his projects post the 2010 released film. The filmmaker said that he was bullied out of the industry by the Khan family and this destroyed his mental health.
He wrote, “The reason I moved
out of making Dabangg 2, 10 years ago is because Arbaaz Khan, in collusion with Sohail Khan and family, was trying to take control of my
career, by bullying me.” Kashyap revealed that Arbaaz Khan called Shree
Ashtavinayak Films’ head Mr Raj Mehta and threatened him with dire
repercussions, if the company made a film with Kashyap. The filmmaker had to
return the signing amount to the company and moved to a project with Viacom 18
pictures, which did the same with him. Kashyap says,” This time the sabotager
was Sohail Khan who intimidated the then Viacom CEO Vikram Malhotra. My project
was sabotaged and I was made to return my signing fee of seven crores, plus
interest of 90 odd lakhs.”
Abhinav Singh Kashyap said that
it was after this that Reliance Entertainment came to his rescue and he made “Besharam”. Kashyap stated how this bullying destroyed his
mental health and lead to his divorce in 2017.
Abhinav Singh Kashyap names his
enemies:
While appealing to the
government to launch an investigation on the death of Sushant Singh Rajput,
Kashyap named his enemies which slowly and steadily killed his career, he
said,” I know who my enemies are. Let it be known that they are Salim Khan,
Salman Khan, Arbaaz
Khan and Sohail Khan. The Salman Khan family is the head of this venomous
serpent.”
The filmmaker stressed the fact
that there must be some camps or agencies trying to bully Sushant out of the
industry and urged new actors and creators to speak up against the people who
ruin careers just for the sake of it.
