After the 77 years old actor Shri Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan has tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday and being hospitalised, Jalsa their residence has been declared as containment area and has been sealed by the BMC. But Amitabh Bachchan’s wife Jaya Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan’s wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have tested negative for coronavirus.
He and his father have mild symptoms of COVID-19 and were admitted to Nanavati hospital on Saturday. Abhishek, 44, told everybody not to panic and stay calm. On Twitter Shri, Amitabh Bachchan confirmed his diagnosis and requested everyone to test who have been in contact with him in the last ten days.
Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “I have tested COVID positive. Shifted to the hospital. Hospital informing authorities, family and staff undergone tests, results awaited.” He added, “All that has been close to me in the last ten days are requested to please get themselves.”
Sources told PTI, Amitabh Bachchan have been moved to the isolated ward of the Nanavati Hospital. Abhishek tweeted soon after his father tested positive, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID-19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities, and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not to panic. Thank you.” “The BMC has been in touch, and we are complying with them,” he added.
“Amitabh Bachchan Ji and Abhishek had mild symptoms. They had a cough and fever. They underwent a rapid antigen test and (result) came positive. Since he (Amitabh) is comorbid, he has got himself admitted to the hospital. They both are normal. Their test was conducted today at Nanavati hospital,” Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said Both Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan underwent rapid antigen test, he told PTI.

Amitabh Ji has been frequently active on social media throughout the lockdown, which began on 25th march to curtail the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. He was also roped by the government to spread awareness about coronavirus.
