Son of Sardaar 2 Trailer: Ajay Devgn Returns with a Bang, Jokes and Jibes in Scotland

The much-awaited trailer of ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ has finally dropped, and it promises a laughter-packed, action-filled ride with Ajay Devgn leading an ensemble cast in a desi comedy set against the scenic backdrop of Scotland. A sequel to the 2012 hit Son of Sardaar, the film appears to retain the chaotic charm and cultural flavour of the original while taking the madness overseas.

Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, Son of Sardaar 2 reunites Ajay Devgn with his iconic character Jassi, a quirky, over-the-top Punjabi maverick. This time, Jassi is out of Punjab and navigating a fresh set of challenges and chaos in Scotland. The film’s tagline teasingly asks, “He survived Punjab, will he survive Scotland too?”

Joining Devgn is Mrunal Thakur, along with a riotous supporting cast including Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Neeru Bajwa, Chunky Panday, Kubbra Sait, Deepak Dobriyal, Vindu Dara Singh, Roshni Walia, Sharat Saxena, Sahil Mehta, and the late Mukul Dev, whose appearance in the trailer brings a nostalgic, emotional note to the otherwise high-energy visuals.

The trailer opens with Jassi’s signature comic timing and some classic punchlines, including “Just joking” and “Kadi Hass Bhi Liya Karo”. But the humour doesn’t stop at wordplay. A pointed jibe aimed at a certain “country that bombs India” adds an unmistakably political edge, delivered in the film’s tongue-in-cheek, unapologetically desi style.

Set in a vibrant mix of highlands and city streets, the visuals capture the madness of large family gatherings, mistaken identities, and wild action sequences, much like the original film but with more global flair. From awkward family dinners to full-blown fight scenes, Son of Sardaar 2 appears to pack it all—masala comedy, family drama, and action.

The trailer’s energy mirrors what the Son of Sardaar franchise is known for—full-blown Punjabi zest, loud and loveable characters, and a celebration of community and chaos. With catchy dialogue and a cast that promises strong performances, the sequel seems ready to deliver a crowd-pleaser.

Presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films, the film is produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande, with NR Pachisia and Pravin Talreja also backing the project. It is co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak.

Son of Sardaar 2 is all set to hit cinemas on July 25, 2025, bringing with it laughter, action, and a whole lot of desi swag—all wrapped in tartan.

IT.
