Amaal Mallik Clarifies Family Legacy, Denies Salman Khan Favoritism

Bigg Boss 19 contestant and music composer Amaal Mallik has finally addressed the persistent rumors about Salman Khan showing bias towards him on the reality show. In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Mallik opened up about their professional relationship and clarified misconceptions surrounding their connection.

Family Legacy Creates Professional Connection

Mallik acknowledged that his relationship with Salman Khan stems from a family legacy rather than personal favoritism. His father and uncle have both worked with Khan in the past, creating an existing professional network. However, Mallik emphasized that his career as a music composer operates independently of this connection. He clarified that while he has composed three to four songs for Khan’s projects, his success in the industry is not solely attributable to this association. “It is not like he picked me up and kept me in his lap,” Mallik stated, rejecting the notion of special treatment.

Weekend Ka Vaar Episodes Lacked Context

According to Mallik, the edited Weekend Ka Vaar episodes presented a distorted picture of their interactions. The composer explained that crucial context was removed during editing, making it appear as though he received preferential treatment when in reality he experienced both praise and criticism from the host. This selective editing contributed significantly to the bias narrative among viewers.

Initial Cold Reception Due to Late Entry

Mallik revealed that Salman’s heightened attention stemmed from his unexpected entry into the house without prior notice. This surprise announcement initially resulted in a colder reception, not favoritism as viewers perceived. The subsequent interactions were simply Khan’s natural response to an unfamiliar contestant rather than special treatment based on their family connection.
