Sooraj Barjatya is currently filming his next film, Uunchai, which stars Amitabh Bachchan. Parineeti Chopra, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Sarika, and is presently being shot in Nepal.

According to multiple reports, Sooraj Barjatya arrived on Monday and went to Kanpur to scout locations. On Tuesday, the supervisor of Hum Saath Saath Hain visited Lucknow’s Rumi Darwaza, Ambedkar Park. And Hazratganj to scout potential filming locations. The film, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Neena Gupta, Boman Irani, Nafisa Ali Sodhi, Danny Denzongpa, and Anupam Kher, will begin filming in Lucknow Agra and Kanpur on March 10.

Sooraj Barjatya returns to directing with Uunchai after running the Salman Khan blockbuster Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in 2015.

Sooraj also write the screenplay for the film, which is thought to be base on the story of a group of older adults’ friendship.

Amitabh Bachchan reunited with Sooraj Barjatya then more than 30 years. He last labored with him in Khuda Gawah in 1991. Barjatya and his team scouted locations in Hazratganj, Ambedkar Park, Rumi Darwaza (Hussainabad Complex), and the suburbs near Kissan Path. The names of all the actors who will be filming in Lucknow have not yet been reveal. On Monday, the team traveled to Kanpur.

Many shoots in Lucknow and other locations were cancel due to elections (beginning February 10) and the third pandemic wave. Rangbaaz-3, starring Vineet Kumar, and another film starring Bhumi Padnekar. Sanjay Mishra, and Aditya Srivastava are currently being shot in Lucknow. Shooting for Anil Sharma’s Gadar-2 has been push back.
