Amitabh Bachchan Teases Agastya for His Gentlemanly Gesture on KBC

Amitabh Bachchan brought humor to the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati when his grandson Agastya Nanda appeared for the film promotion of his second feature, Ikkis. The legendary actor playfully pulled Agastya’s leg about his courteous behavior toward his co-star and debutant Simar Bhatia, who is the niece of actor Akshay Kumar. The witty exchange showcased the warmth between the grandfather and grandson while celebrating the release of the posthumous Dharmendra film.

Amitabh’s Lighthearted Teasing

During the show, Big B noticed how Agastya helped Simar with her saree trail and assisted her in settling onto the hotseat. Amitabh remarked with a smile, “I noticed how you held her trail and put it on the back of the seat to help her sit. I congratulate you for the same but I have never seen you do this for the first time in my life. You never did this before?” The observation drew laughter from the audience and highlighted Agastya’s thoughtful nature on set. The banter reflected the comfortable rapport between Big B and his young co-star during their professional collaboration.

Tribute to Dharmendra’s Strength

Amitabh also used the opportunity to pay homage to the legendary Dharmendra, sharing an anecdote from their iconic film Sholay. He revealed how Dharmendra’s physical prowess during the death scene felt authentically agonizing, describing the actor as a “pehelwan” for his muscular build and strength. This nostalgic moment celebrated Dharmendra’s final posthumous appearance in cinema, honoring his remarkable career.
