Bhajan singer-turned-actor Anup Jalota posted Jasleen Matharu’s latest photo with him. The two are seen in attractive costumes in the latest shot, posing together after completing the filming of their Vo Meri Student Hai video.

While the first pictures show the two in blingy clothes holding out peace signs, the second one shows Anup in jeans and yellow trainers, surrounded by back-up dancers.

Jasleen had recently posted a photo, dressed as a bride and groom, of herself and Anup. Since she did not share the caption with the post, many asked if, after all, the two have gotten engaged.

 Anup explained later that the photo was from a film shoot. “It’s not the way it seems. This is part of a scene in my upcoming Woh Meri Student Hai movie. It’s a series of dreams where Jasleen gets married, and I am her dad,’ he said.

Later, he also spoke about why even though there was no age gap between them; he will never marry Jasleen. In an interview with ETimes, Anup said, “Her western and stylish clothing in my family culture would not have been welcomed,” he said, immediately adding that he did not judge her style of clothing.

I’m just suggesting that for the people around me, it might not have gone over well. Hum toh dhoti-kurta wale hain who performs devotional songs (dhoti-wearing person). How was it that Jasleen’s avatar was in line with that?

He added that several people wrote to him to give congratulations after the photo went viral. “I said ‘Aapko bhi Mubarak ho’ to them(congratulations to you too).

 What else do I say to people that believe in messages received and misinterpret everything they see online? I’m certainly giving them a simple ‘No’ to all who are specifically wondering if Jasleen and I have married each other.

In the 12th season of Bigg Boss, Anup and Jasleen participated together as a pair. It was later seen to be a tactic to draw more exposure to them on the program.
