Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 Records Franchise’s Lowest Opening Weekend

Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 Records Franchise’s Lowest Opening Weekend

Tiger Shroff’s latest action-thriller “Baaghi 4” has delivered a disappointing performance at the box office, wrapping up its first weekend with a collection of approximately Rs 31 crore nett domestically. This marks the lowest opening weekend performance in the entire Baaghi franchise history, falling short of even the original 2016 film’s numbers.

Declining Box Office Trend Continues

Directed by A Harsha, the film opened with Rs 12 crore on Friday but experienced a significant drop on Saturday. Sunday’s collection remained around Rs 10 crore, a concerning figure considering all previous Baaghi films have historically crossed the Rs 10 crore mark on their first Sunday alone.

The stark contrast becomes evident when compared to earlier franchise installments. “Baaghi 3” (2020) earned Rs 53 crore nett in its opening weekend, while “Baaghi 2” (2018) achieved an impressive Rs 71.1 crore nett. Even the original “Baaghi” performed better, collecting Rs 38.5 crore in its first three days, with Sunday alone contributing Rs 15.45 crore nett.

Mixed Reviews Impact Audience Response

Despite the franchise’s loyal fanbase, “Baaghi 4” has received mixed reviews from both critics and audiences. The film, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Shreyas Talpade, Harnaaz Sandhu, and Sonam Bajwa in pivotal roles.

Industry analysts suggest that the underwhelming box office performance indicates audience fatigue with the franchise formula, raising questions about the future direction of the action series that once commanded strong opening numbers.
