Blake Lively, a beloved attendee of the Met Gala, will not be participating in this year’s fashion event. Known for her stunning red carpet appearances, Blake previously dazzled in an Atelier Versace gown alongside her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
However, she has confirmed to the media during a recent event in New York City that she will not attend this year’s festivities.
Ryan and Blake recently had their fourth child in February. Blake announced her pregnancy during the 10th Annual Forbes Power Women’s Summit in September while debuting her baby bump.
However, she did not officially announce the baby’s arrival. Instead, she posted a photo with Ryan and his mother, Tammy, without the baby bump and captioned it, “Puppy Bowl Sunday 2023… been busy.” The couple already has three daughters named James, Inez, and Betty.
Blake Lively to miss Met Gala; confirms E News:
Blake Lively has confirmed to E News that she will not attend the next Met Gala on May 1. However, she added that she would watch the red carpet look.
“I will be watching,” she stated to reporters at the opening of Tiffany & Co.’s flagship shop in New York. She also joked that she’ll wear her favourite Met Gala ensemble from 2022 “on my couch on Monday.”
Blake caught attention at the Met Gala last year with her appearance. She wore a shimmering rose gold gown with exquisite detailing and a big bow.
When the bow was untied, and a green outfit was revealed, she performed a stunning transformation on the red carpet. “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” was the topic of last year’s Met Gala.
On the 1st Monday of May every year, the Met Gala venue is at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It’s a prestigious event that attracts the biggest names in fashion and entertainment.
Anna Wintour, a former Vogue editor, curates the event. This year’s theme is Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, which is a tribute to the late designer’s impact on luxury fashion during his long career at Chanel, Fendi, and other brands.
