According to OP Gupta, senior engineer at Delhi’s Nehru Planetarium, the lunar eclipse will unfold in distinct phases throughout the evening. The penumbral phase will commence at 8:58 PM, followed by the partial eclipse beginning at 9:57 PM. The eclipse will reach its spectacular peak at 11:48 PM, with the total phase lasting approximately 48 minutes.

Dr. Devi Prasad Duari, former director of MP Birla Planetarium, describes this as a global mesmerizing event that will captivate observers across multiple continents. This marks the second total lunar eclipse of 2025, following the March event, and represents the longest total lunar eclipse since 2022.
