Music investor Gulshan Kumar, the proprietor of T-Series, was shot dead while emerging from a sanctuary at Jeet Nagar in Juhu on August 12, 1997.

On Thursday, the Bombay high court excused an allure recorded by Abdul Rauf, an assistant of criminal Dawood Ibrahim, testing his Conviction and life term given to him for the homicide of T-Series organizer Gulshan Kumar. However, the court maintained Rauf’s Conviction and life sentence gave to him and indicted him murder and connivance for the situation.

Taking due note of Abdul Rauf’s criminal foundation and his proceeds with crimes and how he was slipping away for a significant period after the homicide, the high court explained that he wouldn’t be qualified for any reduction in his jail term.

The high court, in the meantime, maintained exoneration of Gulshan Kumar’s business rival, Ramesh Taurani.

Music tycoon Gulshan Kumar, the proprietor of T-Series, was shot dead while emerging from a sanctuary at Jeet Nagar in Juhu on August 12, 1997. Three aggressors shot Kumar with 16 slugs, killing him on the spot. Hidden world hoodlum Dawood Ibrahim’s assistant, Abdul Rauf, assumed Dawood Merchant’s name, was indicted in his homicide and condemned to jail in 2002.

Mumbai police had recorded a 400-page charge sheet containing the names of 26 accused. Music arranger Nadeem Akhtar Saifee was announced a co-plotter for the situation a couple of days after Kumar’s passing. Ramesh Taurani, the proprietor of Tips tapes, was captured for abetting his homicide. Saifee has anyway stayed in the United Kingdom since the murder.
