CSK beats MI in the first encounter of IPL 2020. MI Loosing streak in the first match continues.

Here we go last years winners lost first match against CSK thalas. Once again MI losing the first match in IPL. MI never won their first match from 2013, and today it was the same.

Coming to the match, Rohit got out on 12. De Kock scored quickfire 33 after that only Lefty Saurabh Tiwari played well for 42 good runs. Hardik Pandya, Pollard tried, but MI finish couldn’t finish well and scored only 162 on a good pitch.

CSK pacers went for runs but Piyush Chawla wrist spinners showed his experience and bowled pretty well 4overs for only 21. Nigidi went for runs, but he was the pick of the bowlers as he took 3 for 38 in his four overs. Chahar bowled well for his 4overs taking one wicket. Jaddu went for runs before he bowled good 4th overtook two wickets which put a hold on MI inning. Sam Curran two bowled well.

CSK started poorly losing watto in first over as Boult took him. Pattison was impressive took the wicket of Murli Vijay who looked totally out of form in this first match. CSK was in trouble and came Dependable Rayadu smashed MI bowlers scored a match-winning 71 of 48runs which included three sixes. Bad sign for MI team and Rohit was that Bumrah the main bowler was off-colour today went for too many in all his four overs. Rare off a day of Bumrah costing match to MI.

Leg Spinner Chahar bowled well in four hours. But Rayadu’s inning, Du Plesis good mature 50 and quick-fire Sam Curran’s 18 at a crucial time help CSK win the first match of IPL 2020.

Mahi came in to bat when CSK almost won the match. He showed reasonable confidence in his lefty batsman jaddu, sam Curran who played well in last four hours when the game was evenly balanced. Mahi once again surprised everyone by sending Jaddu and Sam Curran. It was a good decision, players get confidence by getting the opportunity to prove their talent at crunch time.

On an, all not a good day for last years champions MI and a fantastic start for mature CSK team. Once again showing why they are always a tough team to beat in IPL. This team is not one or two players they perform as a team. Raina was not there, but it didn’t look like they missed him in the match.
