Dh20,000 cash price for Safe Riders by RTA, read the conditions

Attention, Dubai bicycle and e-scooter users, The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) are giving you the opportunity to win cash, but only if you abide by the rules of the road.

On Wednesday, the RTA started a two-day campaign to recognise cautious drivers on the roads.

The authority announced in a tweet that as part of the “The Safe Rider” campaign, a total of Dh20,000 in cash prizes would be given away.

Twenty people will be chosen randomly to receive Dh1,000 from among the many Dubai residents who ride bicycles and electric scooters daily.

Participants must, however, “adhere to all road safety rules to qualify,” the RTA emphasised. These rules include wearing safety equipment, following speed limits, and staying in the proper lanes.

The programme was introduced as a part of Gulf Traffic Week 2023 festivities, which are taking place from now until March 12.
