Dhurandhar Enters Top 10 Indian Films, Surpasses Ranbir’s Animal

Aditya Dhar’s action thriller Dhurandhar has achieved a milestone by entering the list of top 10 Indian films of all time. On its 17th day of release, the film earned ₹555.7 crore in India nett collections, dethroning Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, which had collected ₹553 crore, to secure the 10th position on the prestigious ranking.

Industry Acclaim and Director Praise

The film’s success has garnered widespread appreciation from filmmaking fraternity. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, whose Animal was displaced by Dhurandhar, praised the film for its exceptional execution. He commended the performances of Akshaye Khanna and Ranveer Singh, highlighting the film’s powerful screenplay, music, and direction. Vanga noted that Dhurandhar carries “a masculine spine” and moves with “dominance and fierce,” appreciating the clarity of its storytelling without unnecessary chaos.

Strong Cast and Continued Success

Released on December 5, Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role alongside acclaimed actors Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan. The film continues its successful theatrical run, breaking multiple box office records. Notably, Dhurandhar is the third film from 2025 to feature on the top 10 list, following Kantara Chapter 1 (₹622 crore) at the fifth spot and Chhaava (₹601 crore).
