Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna’s spy thriller Dhurandhar has made a spectacular impact at the box office, creating waves both on social media and the cinema halls. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film features an impressive ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. The opening weekend performance has exceeded industry expectations and generated significant positive buzz among audiences.

Strong Opening Weekend Propels Film to ₹100 Crore Milestone

Dhurandhar took a commanding start on December 5 with a collection of ₹28.60 crore. The spy thriller demonstrated consistent growth trajectory, earning ₹33.10 crore on Saturday, courtesy of strong word-of-mouth publicity. However, it was Sunday when the film truly unleashed its potential, collecting a massive ₹44.80 crore and recording a substantial jump over Saturday’s numbers. This impressive three-day run accumulated a total collection of ₹106.50 crore, crossing the coveted ₹100 crore benchmark ahead of schedule.

How Much Does Dhurandhar Need to be a Clean Hit?

With a budget estimated between ₹275-300 crore, industry analysts note that films typically require double their production budget to achieve profitable status. When accounting for digital rights, music, and satellite distribution rights, Dhurandhar requires approximately ₹350 crore at the box office to be considered a clean hit. Industry experts remain optimistic about the film’s prospects, predicting that with its current momentum and positive audience reception, Dhurandhar will comfortably surpass the ₹350 crore threshold and emerge as a major box office success story for this season.
