Dhurandhar Enters Rs 1000 Crore Club at Worldwide Box Office

The Aditya Dhar directorial “Dhurandhar,” featuring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan, has achieved a remarkable milestone by entering the elite Rs 1000-crore club at the worldwide box office. By its 21st day, the spy thriller had accumulated Rs 217.26 crore globally, securing its position as the 9th highest-grossing Indian film of all time. This achievement marks a significant feat for Hindi cinema and establishes the film as the highest-grosser of 2025.

Surpassing Industry Giants

Dhurandhar’s success comes as a surprise to many industry observers, as the film has outperformed several mega-productions including Baahubali 2, Pushpa 2, Dangal, Jawan, and Stree 2 on multiple fronts. Domestically, the film is approaching the Rs 700-crore mark, demonstrating exceptional performance across regions. By Day 22, it had accumulated Rs 648.50 crore net in India, showcasing strong audience reception despite competition from new releases like Avatar: Fire and Ash and Tu Mera Main Teri.

Global Reach Despite Challenges

The film’s worldwide success is particularly noteworthy considering it faced bans in seven UAE-GCC countries, meaning the Rs 1000-crore collection excludes these markets entirely. The film collected $7.800 million in Week 1, $9.238 million in Week 2, and $7.150 million in Week 3 from international markets, totaling $24.188 million. Only Dangal stands ahead with Rs 2070 crore, making Dhurandhar’s achievement even more impressive given the barriers it overcame in the Gulf region while still maintaining momentum in other international markets.
