Donald Trump shared PM Modi podcast video on social media

US President Donald Trump on Monday morning (Indian time) shared Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s three-hour-long podcast with US-based podcaster Lex Fridman on his social media platform, Truth Social.

During a recent conversation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about his strong rapport with former US President Donald Trump, emphasizing the mutual trust and commitment both leaders share in prioritizing their respective national interests. PM Modi praised Trump for his “humility” and remarked that the former president appeared far better prepared for a potential second term than his first.

PM Modi highlighted Trump’s resilience, particularly in the wake of a recent assassination attempt. “Even after being shot, he remained unwaveringly dedicated to America. His life was for his nation. This showed his America First spirit, just as I believe in nation first – Bharat first,” he said. He also reflected on the personal gesture Trump made at the ‘Howdy Modi’ event in 2019, where he chose to sit in the audience as a sign of humility.

The Prime Minister admired Trump’s clarity of vision and his well-defined roadmap for a potential second term. He recalled his visit to the White House, where Trump broke protocol by personally guiding him through a tour of the presidential residence, a sign of the trust and friendship between the two, despite not meeting in person for years.

When asked about Trump’s past comment that PM Modi is a better negotiator, the Prime Minister attributed it to Trump’s graciousness and humility. He explained that his own approach to negotiations is always guided by India’s national interests, focusing on long-term goals.

Shifting focus, PM Modi fondly recalled his longstanding relationship with Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, which dates back to his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat. The Prime Minister described their recent meeting as warm and familial, noting Musk’s enthusiasm for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Drawing parallels between Musk’s principles of efficiency and transparency, PM Modi highlighted his government’s ongoing efforts toward governance reforms.
