Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Earns Rs 7.50 Crore Day 2

Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s much-anticipated romantic drama, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, released in theatres on October 21 during the Diwali festivities. The film marked a significant milestone as it became the Sanam Teri Kasam star’s biggest opening to date. Despite initial promise, the Milap Zaveri directorial witnessed a slight decline in collections from day one to day two.

Day-Wise Box Office Performance

The film opened strongly with a net collection of Rs 9 crore on its first day, Tuesday. However, on the second day, early estimates suggest the film earned Rs 7.50 crore, indicating a dip in audience footfall. The two-day combined collection stands at Rs 16.50 crore. Industry experts attributed the film’s performance to its strong reception at several mass centres across the country. The romantic drama managed to maintain audience interest despite facing stiff competition at the box office during the festive season.

Competition from Thamma

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is currently engaged in a box office clash with Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s horror comedy, Thamma. The Aditya Sarpotdar directorial has emerged as the frontrunner in the numbers race. Thamma collected an impressive Rs 42 crore in two days, with Rs 25 crore on its first day and Rs 18 crore on Wednesday, significantly outpacing the Harshvardhan Rane film.

Both films are vying for audience attention during this lucrative Diwali weekend, with Thamma currently dominating the box office landscape.
