Elon Musk to all the Twitter account holders:

Elon Musk gave the alaram after many celebs changed their Twitter display names. “Going forward, any Twitter handles entertaining in impersonation without clearly specifying “parody” will be forever suspended,” Musk wrote. While Twitter earlier gave hint before suspensions, now that it is rolling out “across-the-board verification, there will be no warning.”

On Saturday 5th Nov 2022, a Twitter update for iOS devices documented on Apple’s app store said all the users who “sign up now” for the latest “Twitter Blue with verification” could get the blue tab next to their names “just like the stars, aka celebs, organizations, and politicians you already follow.”

Twitter India:

It said the favor would first stand available in the UK, Canada, US, Australia and NZ. However, it was navailable on Sunday, and there was no sign of when it would go live.

A Twitter worker, Esther Crawford, told The Associated Press it was coming “soon, but it hasn’t ventured yet.”

Twitter did not reply on Sunday to an email aiming at a statement on the verified accounts matter and Griffin’s suspension.

Update on Twitter Jobs:

Musk tweeted that there was no option but to cut jobs “when the firm is losing over $4M/day”. He did not feed details on the everyday losses at Twitter and said that workers who lost their jobs were presented three months’ pay as severance.
