Enrique Iglesias Clicks Selfie With Fan’s Phone at Mumbai Concert

Pop sensation Enrique Iglesias returned to India for the first time in 13 years, delivering an unforgettable evening at the MMRDA Grounds in Mumbai on Thursday night. The sold-out concert drew over 25,000 enthusiastic fans who sang along to the Latino superstar’s biggest hits during his electrifying 90-minute performance.

A Spontaneous Viral Moment

Among the most memorable moments of the night was when a creative fan threw their phone onto the stage. The 50-year-old singer, who was performing on a ramp closer to the audience, deftly caught the device mid-performance while holding his microphone. Without missing a beat, Enrique flashed a peace sign and clicked a selfie before tossing the phone back into the crowd. The candid interaction sparked a wave of enthusiasm among other attendees who attempted the same trick, though their phones didn’t land on stage.

Star-Studded Attendance

The concert featured an impressive lineup, opening with EDM duo Progressive Brothers and followed by Indo-Canadian pop star Jonita Gandhi before Enrique took center stage. According to organizers, the audience included Bollywood celebrities like Malaika Arora, Vidya Balan, Rakul Preet Singh, Jaccky Bhanani, Rubina Dilaik, Anu Malik, and Abhinav Shukla. Enrique’s team ensured fan safety by retrieving any phones that fell near the stage during the performance.

This marks Enrique’s third visit to India and part of his two-night Mumbai residency. An even larger crowd is expected at Friday night’s second show at the same venue.
