Gajraj Rao, Amit Sharma, Sonu Sood, assures treatment aid for Surekha Sikri.

Surekha Sikri is currently admitted to a hospital in Mumbai after suffering a brain stroke on Tuesday. 

Her Badhaai Ho co-star Gajraj Rao Actor Sonu Sood and director Amit Sharma have assured her treatment will not present any financial obstacles.

According to sources, Gajraj Rao said, “Both Amit Sharma, the director of Badhaai Ho, and I are in contact with Vivek, the secretary of Surekha Ji and yes, we’re all there with her, and we’re going to extend to her all the help we can.”

Amit Sharma said, “I’m in Goa, but I’ve been in touch with her family.” He added, “I haven’t spoken to anyone else but people close to her-her family, nurse and manager. 

I will do my best to provide any kind of assistance that would be needed, and I don’t think there would be any financial barriers to her treatment.

Today, she suffered a stroke. She is currently in ICU (Intensive Care Unit). Its parameters continue to be closely monitored. She is stable but critical. This afternoon she has been admitted to a hospital in Mumbai, “her agent Vivek Sidhwani told PTI on Tuesday.

Her Work and achievements:

Sikri, a film, theatre and television veteran, is best known for her performances in Tamas, Mammo, Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro, Zubeidaa and the daily soap Balika Vadhu. 

Her role as a grandmother in Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Badhaai Ho (2018) received widespread praise. She has won the National Film Award for the film’s Best Supporting Actress. 

At that time the actor was not doing well and had turned up to accept the award in a wheelchair. Sikri was last seen in Ghost Stories by Netflix, which was directed by Zoya Akhtar.
