After Ambaji, Pavagadh, and Girnar, one more pilgrimage destination will get a ropeway facility. Another state tourist destination, Chotila, has been approved by the government. After the disposal of the ongoing court case in this matter, the government has been permitted to start the work. A ropeway facility will be constructed at Chotila, the abode of Chamunda Mataji, by a private company.

An exercise to facilitate the ropeway in Chotila was underway for a long time. In April 2021, then Chief Minister Vijay Rupani announced the ropeway facility in Chotila in the assembly.

But the approval was delayed due to a court case. Finally, the government has given this approval. As the facility of this ropeway will be done by a private company, the final license has been issued after discussion and study by the Technical Committee of the Energy Department.

As a result, the work can be started in the next few days. This facility will be built at the cost of approximately 20 crore rupees.

There are about 655 steps on Chotila Dungar. So the old, infirm, and disabled pilgrims faced difficulties. Due to the ropeway facility, all the pilgrims will have an easy visit to Mataji.

The government will now decide on the royalty.
