On Saturday, it was reported that two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, Assistant Commandant Vishwadeo and Head Constable Dayal Ram, died due to extreme heat exposure while on patrol at the ‘Harami Nallah’ creek area along the India-Pakistan border in Gujarat.

The tragedy occurred on Friday when the officers were engaged in a ‘zero line’ patrol, a task that involves monitoring the border area directly at the line of control. During their patrol, both officers suffered severe heat stroke and dehydration.

Emergency Response

Following the incident, the two BSF members were immediately transported to a health facility in Bhuj. Despite urgent medical attention, the extreme conditions and severity of their heat-related illnesses proved fatal.
