A high-level delegation from Sweden, led by Consul General in Mumbai Sven Ostberg, met with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and expanding business cooperation. The delegation included representatives from 11 prominent Swedish companies and industry leaders keen on exploring new opportunities in the state.

Gujarat has emerged as a preferred destination for Swedish businesses, with around 60 Swedish companies currently operating in the region. These companies provide employment to over 11,000 people, highlighting the strong industrial and economic linkages between Gujarat and Sweden.

During the meeting, CM Bhupendra Patel and the Swedish delegation discussed ways to further deepen collaboration in key sectors such as renewable energy, manufacturing, technology, and infrastructure development.
