The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the final results of the Civil Services Examination, 2022, on Tuesday. 

This time, the winner is Ishita Kishore. Garima Lohia finished second, Uma Harathi was third, and Smriti Mishra finished fourth. The top four finishers are all female contenders.

The Commission nominated 933 individuals for appointment to various services, 613 males and 320 women. Notably, the top four positions were won by female candidates.

The top 25 successful candidates included 14 women and 11 males from various educational backgrounds, including engineering, humanities, science, commerce, and medical science. 

Furthermore, 41 advised candidates were orthopedically challenged, visually impaired, hearing impaired, or had various disabilities.

Here are the top 4 toppers of UPSC 2022:

Ishita Kishore is an economist who graduated from Delhi University’s famous Shri Ram College of Commerce. 

After finishing her education, she went into the professional sphere, working for Ernst & Young in their risk advisory department. 

In addition to her academic and professional accomplishments, Ishita has demonstrated exceptional athleticism and actively participated in various sporting activities.

Garima Lohia, a Commerce graduate from Kirorimal College, University of Delhi, was appointed second, with Commerce and Accountancy as her optional subjects.

Uma Harathi N, a B.Tech. A civil engineering graduate from IIT, Hyderabad, came in third place with Anthropology as her optional subject.

Smriti Mishra, a B.Sc. graduate from Miranda House College, University of Delhi, came in fourth place with Zoology as her optional subject.

The exam is held annually in three parts to select officers for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other positions.
