Hyundai Motor India’s sales decline slightly in June

Hyundai Motor had delivered 65,601 units to dealers in June last year.

Hyundai India reported a slight decline in total wholesales for June, with a 1% drop to 64,803 units. This compares to 65,601 units dispatched to dealers in June of the previous year.

Domestic Sales and Exports

Domestic sales remained relatively stable, with 50,103 units sold last month compared to 50,001 units in the same period last year. However, exports saw a more significant decline of 6%, falling to 14,700 units from 15,600 units in June of the previous year.

H1 Sales Performance

Despite the June decline, Hyundai Motor India closed the first half of the calendar year 2024 with an overall sales growth of 5.68% year-on-year. The company’s total sales for the January-June period stood at 3,85,772 units, up from 3,65,030 units in the corresponding period last year.

SUV Segment Contribution

SUVs played a crucial role in the company’s performance, contributing 66% to domestic sales. Hyundai Motor India COO Tarun Garg highlighted the strong contribution of SUVs to the company’s sales growth.
