The state has issued Orange Alert in 6 districts and Yellow Alert in 20 districts today. Heavy rains are also forecast in the state for the next five days. The wind has started blowing in Ahmedabad since this morning.

 All district administrations have been kept on stand-by. Cyclone Gulab weakened two days ago after hitting the coast of Odisha.

 Due to the cyclone, the meteorological department has forecast heavy to very heavy rains in some parts of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan.

 Especially in South Gujarat and Saurashtra, heavy to very heavy rains are likely for the next three days. In addition, strong winds are likely to blow in the Arabian Sea due to the hurricane. So the fishermen have been instructed not to plow the sea for three days.

According to the meteorological department, another hurricane, ‘Shaheen’, is forming in the Arabian Sea due to the post-effects of the ‘Rose’ hurricane, which hit the coasts of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.

 A deep depression is expected in the Arabian Sea on September 30 and could hit the coastal region of Gujarat. Currently, there is Deep Depression, which will become a Wellmark Low Depression in 6 hours.

 Heavy to very heavy rains are forecast across the state in the wake of Hurricane Shaheen. Not only that, the rainy weather will remain the same throughout the state for the next 3 days.

 In Saurashtra, Central Gujarat and South Gujarat, four state highways, 138 panchayat roads, and 142 roads have been closed.

 Districts including Surat, Narmada, Valsad, Ahmedabad, Anand, Tapi, Bharuch have received more than 100 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours. Rainfall of 218 mm in Umarpada and 192 mm in Palsana has created waterlogged conditions.

Atkot

received 4 inches of rain in an hour, and Gondal received 4 inches of rain. And Atkot received 4 inches of rain in an hour. Even today, good rains are forecast by the weather department.

average of 110 mm of rainfall in September. The rainfall this year is 340 mm, which is three times the average. In terms of percentage, Gujarat has the highest average rainfall in the country in September.
