India vs. Northant : Harshal Patel delivered an all-around performance as India survived a scare to win by ten runs in the second warm-up match. Patel nailed the yorker, with India leading by 11 runs in the final over. Earlier, the RCB star led India to 149/8 with a 54-ball 54.
Harshal Patel hit a stunning half-century to help India post a respectable 149/8 in 20 overs. However, when Northants put India in to bat, they struggled against the moving ball, with Sanju Samson, Rahul Tripathi, and Suryakumar Yadav departing early.
When the score was 8/3, Ishan Kishan and captain Dinesh Karthik formed an excellent partnership, with the latter scoring rapidly. However, the pair were dismissed quickly, leaving India with a subpar total of 72/5 in the 12th over.
Harshal Patel combined with Venkatesh Iyer to take India past the 100-run mark in the 16th over.
While the KKR star was away, Patel led India to 149/8 against an inexperienced attack.
In response, the Indian pacers made light work of the surface, taking four wickets in the powerplay. Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan, and Harshal Patel each had one strike.
Northamptonshire stayed in the game thanks to Saif Zaib, who took the game into the final over. Nathan Buck, James Sales, and Brandon Glover all made brief appearances. However, Zaib couldn’t get his team over the line in the final, allowing India to win.
