Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recovers from the fatal virus; Seventh consecutive day with over 50,000 coronavirus cases in India.

On Wednesday, till 9 am, India registered fresh 52,509 COVID-19 cases, which breached the nation’s tally of the 19-lakh mark. The country’s coronavirus tally now stands at 19,08,255. For a seventh consecutive day, coronavirus infections in the country increased by more than 50,000 cases. Fresh 857 deaths were registered in the last 24 hours, and the death toll in India rose to 39,795. As per the data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a total of 12,82,216 patients have been cured and discharged from the hospital. The total number of active patients in the country increased to 5,86,244. 

MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan recovers from the novel COVID-19 virus:

On Wednesday morning, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recovered from the fatal virus and got discharged from the hospital. After testing positive for the virus on July 25, Chouhan was admitted to Chirayu Hospital in Bhopal. Doctors have advised the Chief Minister to be home quarantined for another seven days, during which his health will be observed. Senior Congress leader and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Shivajirao Patil Nilangekar on Wednesday passed away. It was revealed that the 91-year-old minister had recently recovered from the novel COVID-19 virus. Elsewhere, Anil Rathod who had tested positive for coronavirus, passed away today. He was a five-time former MLA of the Shiv Sena from Ahmednagar. Popular singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam tested positive for the coronavirus and was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai.

Global coronavirus tally rose to over 18.4 million and more than 699,000 fatalities. As per data released by John Hopkins, at least 11,058,317 patients have recovered from the deadly disease.
