Actor Kiara Advani reacts to the controversies of the 2019 film Kabir Singh. She feels the criticism by the fans has reduced the film to just one slap.

Kiara opening up about the controversies on No Filter Neha:

Kiara openly spoke about the Backlash on Neha Dhupia’s chat show No Filter Neha. She claims that she was anticipating the Backlashes.

She further adds that she knew before the release of the film that the Backlash would come and therefore was nervous before the release of the film. 

She speaks on how fans called her a ‘versatile actor,’ when her two hit films came out including, Guilty and Good Newzzz. Kiara, with her earlier experience, knew that Backlash would come.

But Kiara said she wasn’t prepared for the magnitude of the Backlash. She says the audiences of the Hindi film industry are in a large number. She is glad about how the film has reached the audience. 

She then justifies that the final scene cleared out everything. Kiara says the character of Preeti not only left the man she loved but also decided to raise her child on her own. 

Preeti also left the man her parents forced her to marry. She says it was just a part of the character in the film. According to her, the character of Preeti is a woman of pride.

Kabir Singh, a remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy is directed by the director of Arjun Reddy, Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film featured Kiara Advani as Preeti and Shahid Kapoor in the opposite lead role as Kabir.
