Laal Singh Chaddha, starring Aamir Khan, is a remake of Tom Hanks’ critically acclaimed film Forrest Gump. It also marks South star Naga Chaitanya’s Bollywood debut.
Aamir Khan finally released a song titled Kahani from his upcoming film. Laal Singh Chaddha, after teasing his fans that he would be telling them a story on Thursday. Aamir stated that he released the song on a radio station because a song deserves to be heard rather than just seen through visuals. The story of life was central to the soulful song.
Aamir has stated that all of the film’s songs will be released in audio format only, with no visuals. Regarding the music, Aamir said, “I truly believe that the songs in Laal Singh Chaddha are the soul of the film. And this album contains some of my career’s best songs. It was a deliberate decision to put Pritam, Amitabh, the singers. And technicians in the spotlight because they deserve to be center stage, but the music does as well. I can’t wait to see how audiences react to the music that the team has poured their hearts and souls into.”
Advait Chandan, who directed Aamir Khan in 2017’s Secret Superstar and worked as an assistant production manager on 2007’s Taare Zameen Par, directed Laal Singh Chaddha.
The film had been in the works for fourteen years. However, it was postponed several times due to various factors, including the Covid-19 pandemic.
Last year, Aamir discussed how the Laal Singh Chaddha team had to deal with the coronavirus pandemic and Kareena’s pregnancy. While filming, the actress was pregnant with her second child. “Advait (Chandan), who is the director of this movie. He and I often joke that our lives had become like a feather when we took on this film. Different winds are driving us in different directions, also we are just kind of flowing with it. Also we are just going to figure out where we land up by ourselves,” he said in a YouTube video.
