Kareena Kapoor: Taimur and Jeh Fear Saif More Than Me

Bollywood power couple Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan have opened up about their unique parenting dynamics, revealing an interesting aspect of their family life. In a recent conversation on sister-in-law Soha Ali Khan’s podcast, Kareena shared that their sons, Taimur and Jeh, are surprisingly more scared of their father than their mother.

The actress explained how she and Saif complement each other’s parenting styles. “I also feel that fathers are there to make friends with their boys, to understand them and make them feel comfortable about a lot of things,” Kareena said. She described Saif as the more playful parent who enjoys sports activities like cricket and football with the boys, along with musical sessions on guitar and drums.

The Disciplinarian Dad

Despite being the fun-loving parent, Saif commands more authority when it comes to discipline. “If you really want to get something done, you have to say, ‘Okay, Abba will get really angry,’ because somewhere, the two boys, more than me, are scared of Saif,” Kareena admitted.

The actress praised Saif as an exceptional father to all four of his children—Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Taimur, and Jeh. She described him as “extremely brave, loving, caring, and always there” for his kids.

Balancing Act in Parenting

Kareena acknowledged her tendency to be overprotective, often behaving like a “helicopter mom.” Saif, with his prior parenting experience, brings a more relaxed approach to the table. “He’s the more relaxed parent, and I sometimes get a little hyper. But I think that’s what mothers and fathers do; they balance it out,” she explained.

The couple, who married in 2012, welcomed Taimur in December 2016 and Jehangir in 2021. Their partnership showcases how different parenting approaches can create a harmonious family environment.
