Rajkot city and district has been receiving continuous rains since last night. It has been raining in 212 talukas of the state in the last 24 hours. The rains have closed 136 roads in the state, including 15 state highways, for vehicular traffic.

 The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours in the state has been recorded in Jamnagar, Valsad, Rajkot and Dwarka. Besides, heavy rains have lashed 71 talukas in the last two hours, i.e. from 10 am to 12 noon today.

The most powerful rainfall of 180 mm was recorded in Visavadar of Junagadh and 136 mm in Lodhika of Rajkot.Roads were closed for traffic in so many talukas in the state.
