Dry Fruits Rates Increase in Mumbai- Pune Maharashtra:

The effects of tension in Afghanistan are being felt across the country. Security has been beefed up in Jammu and Kashmir with the advent of Taliban rule. However, while its effects are being felt across the country, the Taliban regime also impacts cities like Mumbai and Pune in Maharashtra.

Sharp rise in the price of dried fruits:

In cities like Mumbai and Pune, the prices of dried fruits have gone up sharply. Notably, many people in Mumbai insist on buying nuts, almonds and other dried fruits from the wholesale market. But even in the wholesale market here, their prices are on the rise. Let me tell you, most of the dried fruits in the wholesale market in India come from Afghanistan.

The impact of the Taliban regime:

Before the Taliban rule in Afghanistan, the price of almonds in Mumbai was Rs 680 per kg, which has gone up to Rs 1,050 per kg. Apart from this, the price of cashew pistachios has also gone up in the market. Also, don’t be surprised if the price of dried fruits goes up further in the coming days.

Speaking of the retail market, the price of cashew has gone up from Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,500 per kg. At the same time, the price of pistachios has crossed Rs 1400. In addition, the price of pend dates has gone up from Rs 300 to Rs 500.

Find out what is the price of dried fruit in the Pune wholesale market?

In the Pune wholesale market, black monnaka, which was earlier Rs 250 per kg, has gone up to Rs 350. In addition, the wholesale price of figs has gone up from Rs 600 to Rs 800. Furthermore, there has been an unusual rise in the price of dates. Dates which were earlier Rs 100 per kg have gone up to Rs 500 to Rs 1,000. Before the Taliban regime, raisins were available at Rs 280 per kg in the wholesale market but have risen to Rs 600 per kg.

Prices are being raised artificially.

In the name of Taliban rule in Afghanistan, the prices of dried fruits have skyrocketed in many places. Although there is enough stock of dried fruit in stock, prices have gone up in many places.

It was expected to rise by 10 to 15 per cent in the next few days, but the way prices have risen abruptly is an artificial surge in the eyes of market experts. This means that many places are taking advantage of the price hike in the name of the Afghan crisis.
