An exemplary case has come to light for senior citizens in the city. On the one hand, the team is going door-to-door to senior citizens so that they do not become victims of cybercrime, giving them insight into how to be aware of this type of crime.
Another fraud case has come to light in the Karanj Police Station area. Gathia has withdrawn money from the bank by changing the ATM card under the watchful eye of the employee working in the border wing.
Prabhubhai Pandya, originally from Banaskanth and serving in the Border Wing for the past 25 years, has filed a police complaint at the Karanj Police Station that he was present at the Home Guard Bhawan yesterday.
In the meantime, as he needed money, he reached the Lal Darwaza ATM around 10:30 am with the SBI Bank ATM card. While they were in the process of withdrawing money, an unknown person came and stood near them.
However, for some reason, the person did not withdraw money from the ATM and told the complainant that you are doing the wrong process so that the money did not withdraw.
After removing the card from the ATM, the complainant went to the nearest bank and complained to the present employee that money was not being withdrawn from the ATM card.
So while they were checking the computer, the complainant got a call from the bank and said that his card was blocked as money had been withdrawn from his ATM.
When the complainant inquired how the card got blocked, the bank employee investigated and found that the card he was holding was not his own but someone else’s.
And 55 thousand rupees have been withdrawn from his account from different places with the help of an ATM card. When the complainant informed the police about this, the police filed a complaint and started further investigation.
The complainant suspects that the unknown person standing near him had somehow seen the PIN of the ATM card by communicating with him, taking him into confidence, and exchanging the ATM card. With the help of the card, he has withdrawn money from different places.
