Meet Lalela Mswane 2nd runner up of miss universe 2021
Everyone wants to know who was the second runner-up in miss universe 2021.
Miss South Africa, Lalela Mswane, finished in the top three at the 70th Miss Universe pageant, which took place this morning in Eilat, Israel. Mswane finished second runner-up to Miss India Harnaaz Sandhu, who won the crown, and Miss Paraguay Nadia Ferreira, who finished first runner-up.
The show, which aired live on 1Magic DStv channel 103 in South Africa, was host by Steve Harvey. Mswane urged young women to “choose courage over comfort” in her final speech before the winner was announced.
“I would appreciation young women to know that since the beginning of time, they have had everything within them to earn anything they wanted; it is the world that convinced that we do not,” she said. Following the pageant, Miss South Africa’s reigning state that she was “overwhelmed” to have placed in the top three.
“I am overjoy to have finish in the top three of the competition. The entire experience has exceeded my wildest expectations. “Congratulations to Harnaaz and Nadia, as well as all the other contestants who contributed to making this journey so memorable,” Mswane said.
Mswane, 24, from KwaSokhulu in Richards Bay, represented South Africa in the competition, including contestants from 80 countries. Mswane was one of the front runners leading up to the finale, impressing the judges in the national costume competition on Friday. She wore a white outfit designed by the Costume Department with white feathers symbolizing a Dove of Peace.

She is the eldest of three children. After finishing her secondary education at Pro Arte Alphen Park in 2015. Mswane enrolled at the University of Pretoria, where she later graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree. Mswane worked as a professional model before becoming Miss South Africa.
