According to the IMD, heavy rain is expected on Sunday in Kutch, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Anand, Bharuch, Surat, Valsad, Jamnagar, and Devbhoomi Dwarka, and Morbi. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that the city would receive light to moderate rain on Saturday.

From 9 p.m. on Saturday, the city received an average of 32.2mm of rain, with some areas receiving more than 50mm. Between 7 and 8 a.m., 18mm arrived in the city. The East and South Zones received the most rain.

Rapar in Kutch received the most rain in the state on Saturday, with 92mm falling as of 8 p.m. Following it was 69mm in Vapi, Valsad, 63mm in Kaprada, Valsad, 56mm in Lakhtar, Surendranagar, also 54mm in Bhachau, Kutch.

In light of these forecasts, the IMD’s regional met center in Ahmedabad has issued a yellow watch (which means “be aware” of local weather) for the entire state, including Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad, for the duration of the weekend.
