Pakistan Sent 200 Drones to Gujarat During Operation Sindoor: BSF IG

Pakistan launched a major offensive during Operation Sindoor, firing missiles and sending around 200 drones toward Gujarat, according to Inspector General Abhishek Pathak of the Border Security Force (BSF) Gujarat Frontier. Despite these aggressive moves, no damage was caused to military installations, personnel, or civilians, as the Indian forces successfully foiled every attack.

Addressing a press conference in Gandhinagar, IG Pathak revealed that Pakistan deployed not only drones and missiles but also tanks and heavy artillery along the India-Pakistan border. The BSF is responsible for securing a vast stretch from Barmer in Rajasthan to the Kutch district in Gujarat.

Of the nearly 600 drones sent by Pakistan toward the border areas between Rajasthan and Gujarat, about 40 percent—approximately 200 drones—entered Gujarat territory. The Indian Army, Air Force, and BSF collaborated to intercept and neutralize these threats, with several drones being shot down before they could cause harm.

IG Pathak emphasized the thorough analysis underway to enhance the response strategy for any future attacks. “We are reviewing every aspect of the operation to improve our readiness and response next time,” he stated.

In preparation for the heightened threat, the Gujarat Frontier of the BSF had deployed high-caliber weapons and advanced surveillance equipment across all border posts. These measures were taken based on intelligence inputs that indicated Pakistan’s army mobilization along the border.

The coordinated efforts of the BSF, Indian Army, and Air Force played a crucial role in maintaining security and preventing casualties or damage during the intense cross-border operation. The situation reflects the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan along the border and underscores the importance of vigilance and preparedness by Indian security forces.

As investigations and reviews continue, the BSF remains committed to securing the border and protecting civilians from any future incursions or threats posed by hostile forces.
