On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will conduct a virtual summit with Nguyen Xuan Phuc, his Vietnamese counterpart. Although this year’s scheduled meeting will cap a series of high-level interactions between the two parties, it is being conducted at a time when China’s aggressive acts in the region are being grappled with by both countries.

1. According to the official press release, during the meeting, the two leaders will exchange views on large bilateral, regional as well as global issues and provide guidance on the potential development of a comprehensive strategic partnership between India and Vietnam.
