PM Narendra Modi launch Metro Phase 1, flag off the Vande Bharat Express

PM Narendra Modi launch the Ahmedabad Metro Phase 1 and the Vande Bharat Express during his two-day visit to Gujarat.

PM Modi will launch projects in Gujarat worth Rs 29,000 crore. He will kick off the 36th National Games at Narendra Modi Stadium on Thursday.

On Friday, September 30, PM Narendra Modi inaugurated Phase I of the Ahmedabad Metro rail project. While riding the subway, he spoke with other passengers and students. The Prime Minister flagged off the newly Vande Bharat Express train in Gandhinagar earlier today. In addition to performing Darshan also Pooja at the Ambaji Temple, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate and lay the foundation for other projects totalling more than Rs 7,200 crore in Ambaji.

In Ambaji, the foundation stone was laid for over 45,000 houses built under the PM Awas Yojana. Under the PRASAD scheme, Prime Minister Modi will also lay the groundwork for the Taranga Hill – Ambaji – Abu Road New Broad Gauge Line and the development of pilgrimage facilities at Ambaji temple.

The new rail line will benefit thousands of devotees who visit Ambaji, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas.

It will enhance devotees’ worship experiences at all of these pilgrimage sites. The foundation stone will also be laid for the construction of the runway and associated infrastructure at the Air Force Station, Deesa, and the Ambaji Bypass Road, among other projects.

Prime Minister Modi will also dedicate the 62-kilometer-long New Palanpur-New Mahesana section of the Western Freight Dedicated Corridor. The 13-kilometer-long New Palanpur-New Chatodar Section of the Western Freight Dedicated Corridor (Palanpur bypass line). It will improve access to Pipavav, Deendayal Port Authority (Kandla), Mundra, and other Gujarat ports.

With the completion of these sections, the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor will be 734 kilometres long. The opening of this stretch will benefit industries in Gujarat’s Mehsana-Palanpur. Rajasthan’s Swaroopganj, Keshavganj, and Kishangarh, and Haryana’s Rewari-Manesar and Narnaul. The prime minister will also dedicate several road projects, including the widening of the Mitha-Tharad-Deesa Road.
