Public-sector lender Punjab National Bank (PNB) is anticipating a significant recovery of Rs 3000 crore from its cases in the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), according to the bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Atul Goel.

Recovery Projections

At a post-results press conference, Goel outlined the expected recoveries across the fiscal quarters:

  • Q1: Rs 200 crore already recovered.
  • Q2: An expected recovery of Rs 1210 crore.
  • Q3: An expected recovery of Rs 990 crore.
  • Q4: An expected recovery of Rs 590 crore.

Insolvency Cases in Process

Goel mentioned that PNB has 224 cases in process under the insolvency route for recovery. Notable cases include:

  • Arshiya Ltd, a listed free zone developer and operator.
  • Study Industries.
  • Vadraj Cement.

These cases are part of PNB’s efforts to enhance its recovery through the insolvency process and strengthen its financial position.
