Rahul Gandhi listed the alleged “attempt to topple” the Rajasthan government and “Namaste Trump” among the ruling government’s achievements in the coronavirus period. 

On Tuesday in a tweet in Hindi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took pot-shots at the PM Modi government and sarcastically lauded the government’s achievements in the COVID-19 era.

Rahul Gandhi took a dig at “Namaste Trump” event along with BJP’s weak attempt to topple the Rajasthan government:

The MP from Wayanad, Kerala while taking a dig at the Modi government, listed the alleged attempt to topple the Rajasthan government and the “Namaste Trump” event staged in Ahmedabad in February among the centre’s big achievements during a global pandemic. The former president of the Congress party said that due to such “achievements” of the centre, the country is now “Aatmanirbhar” in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.

Rahul Gandhi lists the achievements of the government and states “India is now Aatmanirbhar in its fight against the coronavirus”:

Gandhi has been questioning the government’s planning behind combating the coronavirus crisis and has been attacking the centre over its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. In a tweet listed out six achievements of the PM Modi-led government during the Coronavirus era, they were February – Namaste Trump, March- Toppling the Madhya Pradesh government, April- made people light candles in their homes, May- government’s sixth anniversary since coming to power, June- Bihar virtual rally, and in July- an attempt to topple the government in the state of Rajasthan. Gandhi added that it was precisely why the country is Aatmanirbhar or self-sufficient in the battle against the novel COVID-19 virus.

India’s first Coronavirus case was detected in Kerala on January 30th and Tuesday; the country has reached 11,55,191 COVID-19 infections to become the third worst-affected nation in the world.
