Rahul Gandhi expressed his frustrations onto China
as well as he wrote, “How dare China kill our soldiers?”
After the Indian Army’s late
Tuesday night of 20 soldiers being martyred in the India-Chinastand-off in the Galwan
Valley,Congress leader and Member of Parliament, Rahul Gandhi has tweeted his anguish and frustration.
Gandhi pressured Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to inform the citizens of the real scenario and
questioned his silence on the critical issue. On Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi
tweeted,” Why is the PM silent? Why is he hiding? Enough is enough. We need to
know what has happened.”
He expressed the same amount of frustration on China, for its alleged border transgressions. Gandhi said,” How dare China kill our soldiers? How dare they take our land?” The Wayanad MP had previously posted his condolences after the demise of 20 Indian Army personnel, who were martyred in aggressive clashes with the Chinese military. He tweeted,” Words cannot describe the pain I feel for the officers and men who sacrificed their lives for our country. My condolences to all their loved ones. We stand with you in this difficult time.”
Sonia Gandhi expresses her
anguish:
Rahul’s mother and interim President
of the Congress party, Sonia Gandhi, also expressed her anguish on the loss of
soldiers’ lives. “My tributes to their un-daunting courage and condolences to
the bereaved families. We stand together in defending the security and
territorial integrity, deeply anguished and pained by the reports of martyrdom
of the brave officer and jawans of our Army in Galwan Valley, Ladakh.” said Sonia Gandhi in an official statement.
Initially, an officer and two
soldiers were believed to be dead in a violent confrontation between the two
nation’s armies, but late at night the Indian Army revealed in a statement, that 20 soldiers were
martyred in the confrontation.
