Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna’s Contrasting On-Set Dynamics Revealed

Aditya Dhar’s blockbuster film Dhurandhar has dominated the box office for over a month, earning Rs 800 crore domestically and Rs 1,200 crore worldwide. While Akshaye Khanna’s performance as Rahman Dakait has emerged as a highlight, the film’s success is also attributed to Ranveer Singh’s portrayal of spy Hamza. Recently, actor Naveen Kaushik, who played Donga in the film, shed light on the distinct personalities of his two co-stars during filming.

Ranveer’s Energetic and Friendly Approach

According to Kaushik, Ranveer Singh maintained a warm and approachable demeanor throughout the shoot, treating the entire cast like friends. The actor’s energy was infectious, greeting everyone upon arrival and ensuring no one sat idle on set. Interestingly, this contrasted sharply with his on-screen character Hamza, showcasing Ranveer’s remarkable acting versatility. His childlike enthusiasm and lack of “star attitude” created a lively atmosphere on the sets.

Akshaye’s Method Acting and Focused Demeanor

Akshaye Khanna, conversely, maintained an immersed approach to his craft, remaining silent and observant throughout filming. Contrary to perceptions that he was difficult to approach, Kaushik clarified that Khanna was warm and affectionate in conversation but would quietly return to his space afterward. This behavior mirrored his character Rahman Dakait—silent, unpredictable, and fully focused. The dynamics between the two actors naturally reflected the on-screen relationship, with the entire gang sitting together while Rahman remained separate.

Kaushik emphasized that both actors demonstrated professionalism and dedication, each bringing their unique working style to create Dhurandhar’s acclaimed performances.
