The couple, who married on February 26, hosted a special Holi lunch for around 70 to 80 fan club members — and the revelations did not disappoint. When asked about how their relationship began, Vijay shared that the two became close friends after working together on two films, with their romance blossoming gradually over time. Most surprisingly, he confirmed that Rashmika was the one who proposed first.

A Love Story Seven Years in the Making

The couple, affectionately dubbed “ViRosh” by fans, reportedly dated for nearly seven years before tying the knot. At the fan meet, attendees noted that Vijay barely left Rashmika’s side, with one fan describing him as a fiercely protective husband. The pair also shared a meal with their fans and were seen feeding each other, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Grand Reception and Charitable Beginnings

Following their wedding, the couple hosted a strictly invitation-only reception on March 4 in Hyderabad, welcoming guests from the Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada film industries. Security was tightened on police advice to manage crowds and ensure guest safety. As their first act of charity as a married couple, Rashmika and Vijay offered prayers at the Tirupati temple and organised Annadanam, distributing food packets to devotees across multiple locations in India. The duo will next be seen together on screen in Ranabaali, set to release in September 2026.
