Reliance Industries Limited Secures Spot on TIME’s 2024 List

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has been named one of TIME’s 100 World’s Most Influential Companies of 2024, securing a spot in the ‘Titans’ category.

This marks the second time RIL has been recognized by TIME, with Jio Platforms, a subsidiary of RIL, featuring on the inaugural list in 2021.

Transformation and Growth of Reliance Industries Limited:

TIME describes RIL as “India’s Juggernaut,” highlighting its remarkable transformation from a textiles and polyester business started by Dhirubhai Ambani 58 years ago into a diversified conglomerate with a market capitalization exceeding $200 billion.

Under the leadership of Mukesh Ambani, RIL has expanded its ventures into energy, retail, telecommunications, and more, making Mukesh Ambani Asia’s richest man.

Strategic Alignment and Initiatives by Reliance Industries Limited:

RIL’s growth aligns with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a “self-reliant” India.

The conglomerate has spearheaded various sectors in the country, including the establishment of Jio, which revolutionized the telecommunications industry, and Reliance Retail, which has become a major player in the retail sector.

This year’s fourth edition list was compiled through nominations across sectors, supported by insights from TIME’s global network and external experts.

The complete TIME100 Companies list will be featured in the June 10, 2024, issue of TIME magazine, which will be available from May 31.
