Rohit Sharma Reclaims ODI No.1 Spot in Latest ICC Rankings

In the latest ICC Men’s Player Rankings update, Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma has reclaimed the coveted No.1 position among ODI batters, showcasing his dominance in the 50-over format. The rankings refresh also brought significant milestones for other players, with Australia’s Mitchell Starc earning a career-high position in the Test bowler rankings following impressive recent performances.

Sikandar Raza Creates History in T20Is

Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza has achieved a major milestone by reaching the No.1 T20I all-rounder ranking for the first time in his 13-year international career. His recent performances in the ongoing tri-series featuring Sri Lanka and Pakistan have been instrumental in his rise. Raza’s contribution included a quick 37 runs and four economical overs against Sri Lanka in his latest match. Having been consistently ranked in the top 10 since the 2022 T20 World Cup, Raza previously held the No.1 ODI all-rounders position in September and is now ranked second in that format.

New Zealand and West Indies Players Make Moves

New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell dropped from the rankings after missing recent games, while West Indies’ Shai Hope rose to 8th position following an unbeaten century performance. In other notable changes, Pakistan’s Saim Ayub dropped to second in T20I all-rounders, while Mohammad Nawaz climbed to seventh. Travis Head moved to sixth in Test rankings, and Ben Stokes rose to second among all-rounders. Bangladesh’s Taijul Islam entered the rankings at 15th in Test bowlers, demonstrating the competitive nature of international cricket and the constant evolution of player performances across formats.
