In an announcement on Wednesday, Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan stated that they are expecting the second baby.

The couple announced the news of Kareena’s pregnancy in a statement, which read,” We are pleased to announce that we are expecting an addition to our family. Thank you to all our well-wishers for all their love and support. Saif and Kareena.” The husband-wife duo will become parents for a second time, following the birth of media-favorite, Taimur Ali Khan, just 3 years ago.

Both the actors have been in the media- spotlight, due to Taimur’s press coverage adding to their recent box-office successes. Taimur Ali Khan was born on 20th December 2016. Kareena Kapoor Khan’s last released film, Good Newwz, co-starring Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh garnered critical as well as a box-office success. The film was accepted by the audience at large and earned more than 200 crores at the domestic box-office. The film dealt with the subject of pregnancy through IVF technology i.e. In-Vitro Fertilization. Saif Ali Khan garnered a 200-crore film as well in this year’s highest-grossing film at the domestic box-office, Tanhaji – starring Ajay Devgn, portraying the antagonist. The actors are fondly called “Saifeena” by their fans and they went into a frenzy, post the announcement of them expecting another child.
The two actors start dating while shooting for YRF’s film, Tashan, and tied the knot in 2012.
